Love this old ranch house with it's thick adobe walls, wooden floors and built-in shelf units. The covered porch looks out at the mountains and it is peaceful and quiet. Something to be said about living out in the middle of nowhere. Great day!
The Garrison at White Sands Missile Range conducted a great ceremony today to celebrate the Army Birthday and Flag Day - not only was it respectful and well done it was educational. Did you know there were four flag designs before the flag we use today was adopted? Take a few minutes to look up a few facts about our flag and the United States Army - then pass on what you've learned.
I am drawn to doors and all the possibilities behind them. The curtains in the windows make you feel welcome - suppose grandma is inside baking an apple pie? What would your story be?
The 2014 Southern New Mexico Festival of Quilts classes start on June 19 and go through Saturday the 21st. Pam Holland will be teaching two brand new classes designed especially for the event in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The third class is one she designed for the recent Libby Lehman Cruise organized by Jim West.
Through Pam's generosity all proceeds are returned to the children of Otero County with this year's recipient - Zia Therapy Children Program.
Go to www.fnb4u.com and click on community events to find out more information about classes and the dinner lecture.
New vendors have joined us this year.
